What is NPTT?
NPTT stands for Nursery and Primary Teacher Training. It is a course title used by some institutes for training that covers both nursery and the early primary classes. Content overlaps strongly with NTT, with additional material on primary teaching. Like NTT, its recognition depends on the provider.
What this means in practice
NPTT appears in adverts and course lists, especially in Delhi NCR. It is not a single national qualification.
NPTT vs NTT
- NPTT: nursery plus early primary
- NTT: nursery and kindergarten
- Both: certificate or diploma levels; recognition varies
Choosing
If you want early primary as well, look at NPTT or D.El.Ed. For preschool focus, NTT or PPTT is enough.
