What documents are required for NTT admission?
For online NTT admission you usually need proof of your highest qualification (10th or 12th marksheet, or degree certificate), a photo ID, a passport-size photograph and your contact details. Admissions will confirm exactly what is needed for your level. International learners provide the equivalent documents from their own system.
What this means in practice
Documents confirm eligibility and ensure your certificate shows your name correctly. Use the same spelling of your name across your ID, qualification and application.
Commonly requested documents
- Highest qualification certificate or marksheet
- Government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport or national ID)
- Passport-size photograph
- Name-change document if your name differs between records
Tips
Scan documents clearly in colour. Check that your name, date of birth and spelling match. If you need a certificate for work abroad, use your passport name.
Documents for international learners
Learners outside India use the equivalent school-leaving or degree certificate from their own country, such as the WAEC/WASSCE certificate in Nigeria and Ghana, KCSE in Kenya or a national school-leaving certificate elsewhere.
If your documents are not in English, ask admissions whether a translation is needed.
What to do next
- Collect and scan your documents.
- Check your name spelling.
- Send them only through official channels.
What to keep in mind
Do not share documents on public groups or unknown numbers.
Common follow-up questions
Is Aadhaar compulsory?
Any valid government photo ID is usually acceptable; ask admissions.
Do international learners need attested documents?
